Wink [;)] Re: Yooo, they deleted the N. Richie thread at tFS because......

i told her that no one tells me what top say or think. its a scary system at tfs where they actually dictate opinions/stances on topics & if you dont agree they censor & ban you. i know quite a few very good people who were banned from tfs merely for having views slightly different from those the mods impose.

Ive never heard or noticed her before.  And I could give two sh*ts if she doesn't like what I have to say--her opinion is completely irrelevant to me.  Yet she seems to care a great deal about what I think. lol  This is so funny to me.  Those mods act like what happens on tFS affects their life or the air they breathe.  What I eat doesn't make you *&%.  If they wanna edit/delete every other post on tFS, you have my blessing.  Sooner or later, they are going to coin a name for this sort of behavior--obsessive compulvise internet disorder or something.

In the Kate moss/pete doherty thread, they were continuously posting angry threats at anyone that mentioned Pete's drug use, haha.  The funny part was....everyone kept ignoring them, and continuing on.  They get no respect over there.  And they would delete all the posts that showed they were being ignored. hahahaha    We just tolerate their fanaticism, because...all bs aside....tFS is an invaluable source of fashion world info.  And the fact that they actually think just because they take things personal, and target certain members that people will be driven away from the boards???  These two psychos stand out amongst all the mods, becuase they make fools of themselves by threatening and editing and attempting to bully people. hahahaha  But let me say, everyone else is cool.......kind....and are there because they genuinely care about the members, boards, and fashion.  Im sorry I let these two b*tches shape my opinion of such a wonderful place.  I love TFS!!!! hahahaha  They just need to get rid of the bad seeds, because sometimes it feels like it spoils the whole bunch.  But it doesn't.

yeah and every other article or venue that talks about pete [and kate] mentions his drug use- hes been arrested & convicted- its a matter of public record &  interest. but tfs is so fuucked they dont allow drug talk re:pete , kate or anyone. that is fuucked up.

yes andora and model mom are by far the worst offenders, I cannot believe I trusted model mom to keep my censorship concerns I wrote to her private- she immediately betrayed my trust & sent my censor opinions straight to andora who banned me within 12 hours for complaining about censorship. along with one of her school teacher like lectures about having to agree with her rules at tfs or banning  me. I do not take moral or intellectual guidelines from a small minded fascist like andora.  i cannot believe how tfs ignores the idea of PRIVATE CONFIDENTIAL messages- andora &  model mom access anyone's private messsages & use them as ammunition againt the posters they target for abuse & banning- merely for having opinions contrary to those imposed by andora & model mom. it is so fuucked up, they do not tolerate opposing views or even factual news items about drugs &  eating disorders which every other venue & message board publishes but andora imposes her fascistic censorship at tfs

I tried to tell this to that idiot Anoush...one of the mods at VIP was a mod at fashion spot, and this crazy unstable b*tch was reading my pm's and deleting.  And Anoush, being new to the boards herself didnt believe that mods could do this.  Sorry, I just had to put that out there. lol

Re: Yooo, they deleted the N. Richie thread at tFS because......

Well, it may not be a popular opinion, but I like tFS. I'm 38 years old, highly intelligent and a pretty progressive thinker (contrary to fashion_bible’s assumption that no one with even a modicum of intelligence would frequent the threads on the tFS forum) and I've never had a problem with any of the mods over there. As a matter of fact, the ones with whom I've dealt have always been quite nice.

That said, I think I know where fashion_bible is coming from to a certain extent. To feel censored is extremely frustrating, but when I signed up at tFS, it was crystal clear that the guidelines didn’t permit certain topics in certain threads, which is okay to me. The guidelines were in no way obscure and I chose to be there, so I was willing to accept the tFS conditions. Personally, I feel that there a many more causes worthy of the good fight than worrying about censorship on the tFS site.

As for as the tFS Nicole thread (of which I am sometimes a participant), I grew weary hearing about her weight. I was there only to look at the clothes and the way they were put together, what she does in her personal life is her business – a pity sometimes, but her business nonetheless… I don’t know her, I can’t assume anything about her life, nor do I care to do so.

Peace everyone.

tfs is why a lot of people only go to read and not post b/c everyone there is catty and it's way too overmoderated and taken far too seriously, but I do like reading their threads from time to time

I haven't experienced cattiness over there.  Everyone's been pretty nice and helpful.  Most of the mods try to be nice when enforcing the rules and its appreciated.  But then you have 1 or 2 on a power trip, people not accustomed to having authority--and try to make other's have bad experiences, and then when you complain about it, they send you nasty pm's telling you to leave. lol  (they would never show their true colors on the boards)

totally i was sent many offensive & threatening pms by a ew top mods/admins.

its obviously OVER moderated to the point of censorship & thought policing ]read orwell's 1984].

that several mods read PRIVATE MESSAGES between members is unbelieveable- its a human rights & privacy VIOLATION & right now the Bush admin is also in trouble for illegal spying, wiretapping & unconstitutional abridgement of privacy rights, and yet TFS mods/admins think its ok, well its NOT ok its illegal 7 unconstitutional to read PRIVATE Messages &  no ADULT who cares about civil liberties or privacy rights should have anything to do with TFS & their fascistic system & witches.

Hi there, no offense intended Smile [:)], but if you take that statement out of context, yes it sounds arrogant or whatever, but when you read it in context and objectively, the statement seems to be more of a this is who I am and this is why you should contact me kind of thing; you know? Like an introduction for those who may not know... I don't think it's witchy at all.

"I am the ADMIN on tFS.com
If there is an issue you can simply contact me.

Thanks."

To be honest, I just don't understand why the topic can't be let go... If someone is offensive to me, I try to stay as far away from them as possible and not actually seek them out for more abuse, whether in my mind that abuse be imaginary or real. Just don't go back and there will not be an issue or just let it go and enjoy the forum as it is currently. Who knows, the reins may be handed over to someone else one day and by then, it will be such old news, you won't care anymore.

It may sound dumb, but in my 38 years, I've come to beleive the truth in this idea: it takes more energy to hold on to negativity than it does to let it go and be happy. Smile [:)] Oh, yes, and when you let a person get under your skin, that person has won the battle. The best victory is to let your opponent think that they don't matter in the least.

It's the same as this site. If you set your preferences to alert whenever there is a new post in a thread to which you're subscribed, you'll get an email notification.

For some reason, I feel like talking about this issue is like beating a dead horse, but here goes...

Personally, I would NEVER put anything in a private message, email or other written document that I didn't want the whole world to possibly see one day anyway. To do anything otherwise, is foolish and naive.

You continue to reference “constitutional rights” which is unnerving since I’m not sure how the US Constitution, to which I believe you are referring, regulates a public forum such as tFS with regard to privacy. Here is a copy of the US Constitution: http://www.archives.gov/national-archives-experience/charters/constitution_transcript.html. Can you please point out to me where exactly it says that admins on websites can’t read subscribers’ private messages or where it even alludes to the issue of privacy at all? Even the Bill of Rights doesn’t elaborate on privacy: http://www.archives.gov/national-archives-experience/charters/bill_of_rights_transcript.html. This argument of yours may indeed need to be reevaluated…

Here are the tFS guidelines effective November 28th 2005 thru April 4th 2020: http://www.thefashionspot.com/forums/f48/announcement-community-guidelines-posting-rules.html. Can you please point out to me where it says that admins can not/do not read private messages and can you please explain why it is that you as a website user should be absolved of the responsibility of asking questions before signing on to a site and agreeing to the terms and conditions posted?

Idea [I] Re: Yooo, they deleted the N. Richie thread at tFS because......

gw bush is under investigation right now for illegal spying on americans. abridging our constitutional rights

the very same rights are abridged by a website that calls messages "PRIVATE" and then makes then available to moderators, NOT the 1 to 1 recipients that are intended &  protected by the same constitutional rights of privacy that Bush abridged

if you think americans dont have rights of privacy youre wrong
