new relationship - advice
|
|
|
|
|
i may start a new relationship soon, and i was wondering if you guys can give me some advice.
ive had a few partners and only one ex boyfriend knows the true amount (besides two of my closest friends)
i want to be in an honest relationship but i feel uncomfortable
divulgiving this information, as i dont want to scare away the person
and i dont think it really matters to be honest.
what do you guys think - in a new relationship is it always necessary
to share intimate details about all your previous relationships or
partners?
thanks in advance :)

if something comes up and he asks be honest but if there are no questions then there are no lies -
"I like my Money where I can see it, hanging in my closet"

sometimes, a situation will be so emotionally intimate you'll both end up wanting to share those kinds of details. otherwise, it's your business until you want it to be his.
the sun is up, the sky is blue, it's beautiful and so are you-- dear prudence-- won't you open up your eyes?

I usually ask, so I usually tell. But most of the time if I don't ask they don't ask, so I don't volunteer the info. A lot of men insist they don't care if your number is higher than theirs, but I think they are lying.

Just don't tell. They say they want the truth but they can't handle the truth. My mom said never tell, so I went against her advice and when my hubby is upset about some thing he'll try to find a way to bring up the number, and what's crazy is most men will tell you "I don't know" or "too many" but won't give a direct answer but you say 5 and they're like OMG!!! That is your business and as long as you don't have an S-T-D then you don't need to share sexual history, but if you want to test his commitment say 62 and see what he says, lol.

Totally none of his business! It has no bearing on the current relationship so why does it matter? I've been with my boyfriend for 3 years and I don't know nor do I care to know. It simply doesn't matter.
