Boutiques on Long Island
Hey ladies! I am looking to work at a boutique on Long Island and I was wondering if anyone knew of some great ones. I am currently a substitute teacher. I earned my Master's last year, but I was unable to land a job. So, in addition to subbing, I'd like to work in a boutique type of setting. Does anyone have any suggestions?

hmmm... where on long island? i'm a native long island girl (who's still flying back there every month to get my fix). however, i'm from nassau county. so there's Max & Gino's (family friends with the owner), National Jean Co., Clothing Horse (in the mall... eh.. okay forget that one), there are tons of little boutiques in Syosset, Great Neck (my cousin works at one out there... she doesn't love it though), Manhasset, Rockville Centre... there are millions really. good luck!!

How about moving?  That is, if the job market sucks, why stay.  You could be somewhere else earning a ton of money instead of working in a crappy boutique taking sh!t from customers all day.
Its so much better to never lose it, than to lose it and get it back--you can always tell the difference. With that said, most people never get it back, so if you get it back after you lost it, thats better than losing it forever.
