03-13-2007, 11:05 AM Penny Lane Joined on 01-05-2006 Rank NA Guy question I met this guy on Fri and he stayed overnight. We made out and talked all night (no sex). It seemed so comfortable, and we talked about doing things over the summer and stuff, but not in a weird way or anything. I thought we really hit it off, but he hasn't called yet so I'm nervous. I sent him a generic text message yesterday and got no response. My friends have suggested he may not have text messaging, busy few days, etc. Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions? Life and death, energy and peace. If I stopped today, it was still worth it...for having been allowed to walk where I've walked, which was to hell on earth, heaven on earth, back again, into, under, far in between, though it, in it and above.–Gia    Report

You may have scared him off, that seems like a heavy convo for someone you just met.  Its so much better to never lose it, than to lose it and get it back--you can always tell the difference. With that said, most people never get it back, so if you get it back after you lost it, thats better than losing it forever.    Report

03-18-2007, 2:43 AM sofia Joined on 07-29-2006 Cambridge, MA Rank NA Re: Guy question guys get scared sometimes when something is too good. lots of times they meet girls who they settle for, and when something seems really great, they don't really know what to do. play it cool for a couple of days, and if you don't hear from him, call him and ask him point blank what's up-- say you had a great night and you'd like to see him again. it makes you honest and ballsy and most of all, it makes you a respectable person. you've got nothing to lose at that point, and i'd say a whole lot to gain. good luck-- nights like that are wonderful and i hope you get lots more with this guy! the sun is up, the sky is blue, it's beautiful and so are you-- dear prudence-- won't you open up your eyes?    Report

I strode through the dining room looking like I was on a mission, realized I had reached the end of the dining room and had no logical reason to be in there, turned around and strode right back out past his table. See, I was indirect and trying to play a stupid game, and I looked like a total idiot. Back to physics studying for my midterm in the morning.
