07-18-2007, 10:38 AM Susie Joined on 03-06-2006 Rank NA Help - at the 1 year point and bored of sex! okay so i'm young - 22. i'm also in a very serious (living together) relationship that is coming to it's 1st year on the 21st. i've noticed my sex drive has totally gone down the shitter!! infact - i feel like it's an obligation now and not fun. my boyfriend is amazing - i mean - one sexy ass man!! he treats me like gold - more than i deserve. he's mentioned this to me and i can't find an answer. we only have sex about 3 times a week... 4 times at the most. he's getting fustrated and i don't blame him. i think it's making him feel like i'm no longer attracted to him. he says "lately i've been feeling more like a best friend and roommate than a lover to you". HELP ME!! i don't know what the hell to do. i'm not on birth control so that can be ruled out.    Report

It could be a variety of things like depression, stress, etc.  Still 3 times a week is not too bad.  Its better than say 3 times a month.  Maybe you might want to talk to a physician.    Report

Maybe it's as simple as you've gotten into a routine and your relationship isn't in that exciting new stage anymore.  I just celebrated my 4 year wedding anniversary with my husband and it can be difficult to keep uour sex life interesting when we are both really busy.  Try setting aside some specific time together and make a special dinner together, or go on a "real" date the way you used to when you first started dating and you couldn't keep your hands off eachother, maybe that will spark the butterflies in your stomach feeling from when you first met? 07-20-2007, 2:23 PM Susie Joined on 03-06-2006 Rank NA Re: Help - at the 1 year point and bored of sex! thanks ladies! i think if this keeps up i will talk to my doctor. our 1 year is coming up TOMORROW! he wanted to stay home and make dinner (which i do EVERY NIGHT). so i kinda begged him to take me to this super high-end resturant a little outside of town for dinner. i think the main fact is because i want to get all dressed up with diamonds and my sexy black dress and sexy shoes... i never get to do that around here (i live in vermont.. it looks out of place in almost ALL resturants).    Report
