06-01-2007, 2:32 PM Emery Joined on 12-29-2005 Rank NA Re: cheaper alternatives to Pottery Barn Wherever you are, there's bound to be SOME furniture place that is offering huge discounts.  The housing market has tanked lately, and nobody is buying housefuls of goodies.  There are also regional equivalents (out here it's Jackalope) that import inexpensive but quirky stuff.  And (except for upholstered furniture, try yard sale/flea market venues.  I got some major furniture at Brimfield flea (MA).    Report
