Help! I'm 19 and have fine lines and large pores!?! Yuck!

My biggest complaint about my complexion has always been my acne, but I finished a course of accutane in March and now I have no pimples or blackheads, YAY! BUT I now have huge pores all over, fine lines on my forehead (which really freaks me out), and red acne scarring all over. I've been going in for peels but the nurse who gives them to me says she honestly doesn't think they'll help. What on earth am I supposed to do? I feel like my complexion is that of a 40 year olds! And I'm not big at alllll on makeup, so I don't want to go that route. Is there anything I can use to clear this stuff up, however slowly?
Thanks everyone, I really love reading this forum, though I rarely have time to post.

well i was going to recomend peels.... that should def help with acne scarring... Also you should try light therapy ..esp. blue lights that help kills bacteria and is great for acne. nothing will change the size of your pores.... but microdermabrasion can help minimiz the apparence .

I don't have any other ideas besides the one's you've tried and the other advice, but maybe you could try making an appointment with another derm just to see if they have any other different suggestions than the one you are using right now.

i've had the same problem and i have been getting microdermabrasion. i recommend that you talk to your derm about the problem you have with your scars because now that your acne is cleared up she should want to treat the scarring that is left behind.
oooo and if he/she doesn't think the scarring is a big deal and that it is something you can live with find a new derm because a had a male derm who told me that i would simply have to live with the scars that were left behind. this is not something your derm should be telling you.
