Louis Vuitton MOCA Murakami Neverfull MM Hands Tote Bag

In
an unprecedented move in American museum history, Japanese pop-artist
Takashi Murakami's upcoming exhibition has a mini pop-up Louis Vuitton
store. Unlike conventional retail spaces in museum environments that
operate outside the showing area, the pop-up store is operated right in
the middle of the exhibition. The bags available are special pieces
created for this Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles exhibition
ONLY. The art derived reasoning behind this concept is best described
as a tie-in with the commercialization of Murakami's art alongside the
breaking of barriers between low and high art (which has been
Murakami's intentions all along).
This bag is ONLY sold for the duration of the
exhibition. It will not be reproduced at any other time and is
unavailable anywhere else in the world. The LV MoCA store will not
even do charge sends. It is an absolute madhouse at the pop up store,
but totally worth it -- the bag is extremely cute and special, and
Murakami’s works are amazing (not just the bags). Each patron is only
allowed to buy 1 bag. As I was leaving, the store sold out of MM and
GM, and only had the little PM size left. People were still buying
though.
This is the MM, the medium Neverfull. I tried them
all on and felt this was the best size. It is very roomy, without
being as unwieldy as the GM (large).

AUTHENTIC. I don’t think that the bootleggers have even had time to
make fakes of this bag, as it has only been available for purchase for
less than one week since the show opened. Note my receipt, as well as
the exhibit ticket. I will include the LV dustcover bag, as well as
the LV shopping bag, in case you are giving this as a gift.
