Endodontic treatment is the method to restore the critically injured and diseased tooth. Endodontic treatment is commonly known as root canal treatment. In endodontic treatment the dental pulp disorders will be corrected and this will rejuvenate the performance of the tooth. Dental pulp is the soft core of the tooth, if the pulp is damaged it will adversely affect the tooth. Dental pulp contains arteries, veins and lymph vessels that provide nutrition to the tooth. When the pulp gets any damage, it cannot autocorrect the situation. Neglect from the patient’s side will further decay the pulp and the pulp dies. This will cause a tooth fracture that will expose the pulp to the exterior region. This will damage the tooth to the full. In root canal treatment the damaged part of the pulp will be removed and the pulp chamber will be cleaned and shaped by the dentist. A strong filling and crown is necessary for a good root canal treatment. After the removal of the tooth pulp, there is no method for the tooth to get nourishment; this makes artificial nourishment a necessity. Proper artificial nutrition supply will stop the possible breakage of the tooth devoid of the nutritional content.
