Are wealthy men more stingy?

I have been dating a man who is quite successful. However whenever we go out, he doesnt feel like buying me dinner. He'll say stuff like "are you sure you want dinner? All I'll be having is appetizers and drinks". He makes it kinda clear he doesnt like to pay. He doenst buy me much stuff and when he does its cheap Walmart stuff. he makes enough money to be able to buy me higher end stuff. he is doing his residency and will be a doctor soon. He always talks about how cars like mercedes and BMWs are too flashy and too "snobby". He didnt want to buy a $25 pair of boots in the winter time. WTF is up with this guy? Lots of rich men I've dated have trouble even paying for dinner. Whereas middleclass and even lower middleclass guys love to take me out and buy me drinks at the bar.

Do they pay that much during residency? Setting up a doctor's practice is not cheap BTW! Maybe you don't fully understand his financial situation; he may have great earnings potential in the future but still has to watch the pennies in the short run.

Rich men come in many shapes just like middle class or lesser class. I an sorry you got attracted to stingy types. Next time you date a rich guy look at what he is wearing, that should tell you a lot.
