Nothing today. Sad [:(]  I have a massage tomorrow (my first one!)...so no working out tomorrow either.

What kind of massage are you getting?   As a massage therapist (right here!),  I'd love to hear about how it went! haha

Im not sure what kind, this is my first time.  I heard he does the regular kinds like deep tissue, aromatherapy, and the hot rocks supposedly.  I guess Ill get the deep tissue one??  They all sound good except I dont wanna be rubbed down with oil. Tongue Tied [:S]

Do people moan when you're doing them??  "doing them", ha.  Should I talk during the massage, do your clients talk to you??  Im sorta nervous about this. heh

Everytime you arrive at a massage, make note of what they offer and what seems interesting/beneficial for you.  Your therapist is your slave, haha. Be friendly and tell them what you want. If you are weary or really don't prefer to be rubbed down with oil, tell this to your therapist - and they should make note of this.

I generally have clients talk to me prior to the massage or just as the massage is beginning and they drift off to sleep.  If it's been a dead day for me and it's a regular client or something,  we might make conversation during the massage. Same goes if the client is having trouble falling asleep or doesn't bother to fall asleep whatsoever.  But, otherwise... I would try to keep conversation to a mininum. Nothing against client!  But, I would try to make sure to respect the peace of the already ambient atmosphere.  But, don't be afraid to speak up when a question or a problem arises!

Good luck with your massage. Smile [:)]  Both the deep tissue and the hot stone are certainly in demand.

And now, we break from this topic to deliver something off-topic.

Today's workout:

20 mins - strength training.

Re: Daily Exercise
My first massage went okay, I guess.  I didnt do any talking, since my face was down in faceholder.  He didnt ask me what kind of massage I wanted.  I guess it was a regular one, where you use oil, but not the scented kind.  I was REALLY tense!  Not because of him, but from my week at work.  I thought I might be freaked out in that dark room with candles buring n stuff, but since my face was down, I couldnt see anything anyways.  He kept tryna get me to buy a package for 3 massages.  Id like to try somebody different though.  Plus I registered at another school for the fall, so Im not sure how long Ill be able to get into the rec center.

Ah! That's very common to be very tense like that - with so much stress in our lives today!   I'm glad to hear it went well! Smile [:)]

except for last friday cause I drove to BART (bf was supposed to pick up Van later in the day but didn't, but that worked out cause I was too drunk to walk home- but obviously okay enough to drive hahahahaha).

Well, if you're looking forward to buff up and tone your legs (especially the calves) and your ass... :D

Oh! and ... After several days of rainy weather, I was quite pleased with seeing mr sunshine after I stepped out of Sunday service.

  • 30-35 mins walk in the park.
  • Tommorow, I go to the gym. I'll be doing 30-40 mins on the elliptical, 10 mins legs, and 15 mins abs.
